Brief board member résumés
Jonas Frick. Born 1957. Mr Frick has graduated from the University of Uppsala with a BSc degree in Business and Administration. He has over 25 years of international company experience at leading positions in the biotechnology sector, primarily at Pharmacia where he spent in total 14 years. He also has experience from a large number of exits and successful capital raising activities as well as over 10 years experience from working on boards in Sweden and internationally including experience as a chairman. He is currently serving on the Board of the Irish/US biotech company Elan.
Per Sjöberg. Born 1941. Mr Sjöberg holds a M.Sc.Pharm from the Pharmaceutical Faculty at Uppsala University. Between 1968 and 1984, he worked for Draco and Astra mainly with asthma-related products and became V.P. Marketing in 1981. Between 1984 and 1991, he worked as CEO of the pioneering glycobiology company BioCarb. Between 1991 and 1997 Mr Sjöberg worked as General Manager of Perstorp Pharma, a company active within the dermatology area. Between 1997 and 2001 Mr Sjöberg worked as CEO for Camurus in Lund.
Göran Linder. Born 1962. Göran Linder is the CEO of the venture capital company Midroc New Technology AB. He has an M.Sc degree in electronics from theRoyal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. As a board member of numerous ground-breaking portfolio companies, Göran has more then 20 years of diversified sales, business development and management experience, with extensive knowledge of technology-related fields. He is a versatile, dedicated leader and innovator, with a record of success building highly motivated and productive teams.
Artur Schmidtchen. Born 1963. Dr Schmidtchen is a senior consultant at Lund University hospital and associate professor at the Department of Dermatology, Lund University, where he leads a research group of 7 persons that focus on human innate immunity systems and their importance for wound healing and skin barrier function. He has authored and co-authored over 50 papers. He has been awarded the young investigators prize from the Medical Faculty and University Hospital in Lund (2004), the Schyberg Foundation (2006), the Sandberg Foundation for translational research (2007), and the prestigious Fernström award for young investigators (2007).
Martin Malmsten. Born 1964. Dr Malmsten, Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, Uppsala University, leads a research group devoted to discovery and delivery of bio-macromolecular drugs, notably AMPs. He completed his PhD in Physical Chemistry in 1992. He has worked for Astra Arcus and the Institute for Surface Chemistry, where he was Managing Director between 1998 and 2003. His research has resulted in 180 papers and several books. His research has been awarded the Nordic Surface Chemistry Prize and the Langmuir Award from the American Chemical Society. Malmsten is Fellow of the Royal Chemical Society and holds a guest professorship at Charité University in Berlin.
